Fondation pour Genève
FPG Network
The Fondation pour Genève network brings together 5 entities that pursue one and the same goal, that of contributing to the reputation of Geneva as a host city, a place for dialogue and cooperation in the service of peace, rights and development.
The International Circle is run by more than sixty volunteers from Geneva. Its aim is to welcome the personalities of international Geneva and their spouses, to make their stay as pleasant and rewarding as possible. Through a wide range of activities and events (walks in the heart of the Geneva countryside, world cuisine classes in a private home, cultural outings, visits to international companies, discoveries of the region and much more), the Cercle International helps to forge social links between the local and international communities in a convivial atmosphere.
More informationThe Diplomatic Club of Geneva is the official Club where the decision-makers of international Geneva meet and exchange ideas, while developing synergies between their institutions and cultivating a network of exclusive relationships. Through its activities, the Club also helps to foster the development of relations between the international community and the host state. Conferences, debates, visits and themed excursions aim to stimulate discussion on current issues.
More informationThe aim of the Eduki Foundation is to promote education and raise awareness among young people about the work of international organisations and international cooperation. In this way, it aims to reinforce Switzerland’s international vocation and help forge a lasting link between international organisations and young people. It organises guided tours of International Geneva, produces thematic dossiers for teachers and, every two years, organises a competition on the Sustainable Development Goals for all school classes in Switzerland.
More informationThe GVA2 association aims to stimulate political, economic, social and cultural debate in Geneva by bringing citizens together around themed events. By organising events and meetings and developing public and private partnerships, the association aims to promote Geneva’s assets and encourage initiatives that contribute to its international reputation and attractiveness. GVA2 organises 4 themed dinners a year, two of which are featured on the GVA Direct programme on Léman Bleu, and offers exclusive tours of Geneva’s cultural attractions.
More informationThe Newcomers Network is made up of 30 volunteers who run the CAGI’s welcome programme for newcomers to international Geneva. A wide range of friendly activities are offered to internationals to help them discover the region and settle in during their first year in Geneva. Visits to cultural sites, expeditions, the Escalade celebration, conferences on practical life in Geneva, a linguistic exchange and Welcome Coffee are all organised to give them the chance to meet local people and make their arrival easier.
