Renewed partnership with the Young Activists Summit

Supporting young people’s commitment to global issues

Since 2021, the Fondation pour Genève has been supporting the Young Activists Summit, a meeting of young people from all over the world who are working for sustainability and human rights, values we hold dear. Each year, the Fondation pour Genève organizes an exclusive dinner in the presence of the federal and Geneva authorities, as well as personalities from international Geneva, to allow participants to exchange views with the young activists, discover their actions and learn more about their perspective on the world.

This year, peace and reconciliation will be at the heart of the activists’ projects. We have recently seen an intensification of conflicts and natural disasters, affecting civilian populations, causing displacement and restricted access to basic resources. Peace and reconciliation couldn’t seem further away. But in this context, the concrete actions led by these young activists send a message of hope. A message much needed in these troubled times.

The Young Activists Summit 2023 will take place on November 16 at the Palais des Nations. It is organized by the NGO dev.tv, the United Nations Office in Geneva, Radio Télévision Suisse (RTS) and its Geneva Vision platform, and the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (IHEID).
