Reception to honour public-private partnerships
The Fondation pour Genève was delighted to bring together the local and international community yesterday to celebrate public-private partnerships in support of international Geneva at its traditional reception at the residence of Swiss Ambassador to the UN Jürg Lauber.
Speeches by the President of the Council of State, Nathalie Fontanet, the Secretary General of the International Telecommunication Union and our President, Marc Pictet, highlighted the importance of cooperation between the private and public sectors.
The world faces many challenges. But we shouldn’t let them undermine the value and relevance of International Geneva, because, on the contrary, they make it even more essential. From ensuring respect of the Geneva Conventions to the use of AI for the common good, its sphere of influence is as vast as the global issues at stake.
